This Jack Nicklaus design course officially opened in December 2006. It's the first natural links course to be built in Southern AFrica since Humewood GC. About an hours drive west of Port Elizabeth on the sand dunes near Cape St Francis. St Francis Links is ranked 3rd in the SA Top 100 Course...s, amongst many other golf awards, St Francis Links is a golf course unlike any other in South Africa. The jury is still out on whether or not it is a “true” links course, but there are certainly many links traits such as fairways that are laid out on rugged, undulating and sandy terrain. The substantial number of bodies of water however brings about the uncertainty of the pureness of a links course. Despite all of this, it goes without saying that this Jack Nicklaus golf course will offer an enjoyable golf experience any day of the week.
